In this project Protecta will replace the old EuroProt devices with new EuroProt+ IED-s, which use the IEC 61850 standard for communication. Furthermore, this projects offers an opportunity to start the procedure to obtain permission for the application of these new devices in the railway traction network. The operational experiences of MÁV’s protection engineers will be taken into account in subsequent development work.
