It is a long trip we have been waiting for a long time, actually since 2018., as that is the year when our South Korean partner, Protecta Korea started operating in Seoul. We are grateful to have had the opportunity to meet the Founder of Protecta Korea and its Management Team.
It has been a long road since the start: after numerous discussions, late-night work, and testing, our first transformer protection (DTRV) devices were accepted by Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO), and they are being supplied in increasing numbers each year. Now the time has come for other protection types with new challenges, all to be overcome in collaboration with the highly competent and resourceful local engineers.
During the 3-day trip, we visited two KEPCO substations and saw our devices installed and in operation. Luckily, some sightseeing could also fit into the schedule by being taken to several fantastic eating spots in the city as well as to SeoulSky and the historical site of Namhansanseong Fortress.
All in all, as expected, we had a great time in Seoul and we are looking forward to the upcoming opportunities and challenges in the country.
