Strengthening the Grid for the Future
The Vạn Ninh substation was developed to enhance electricity supply in Khánh Hòa and the broader South-Central region. By integrating a 250 MVA transformer, new 220kV transmission lines, and dual voltage levels (220kV and 110kV) with advanced busbar schemes, the project ensures stable and secure power for the fast-growing Vân Phong Economic Zone.
Beyond capacity expansion, the project directly addresses the region’s growing energy demands by preventing overloads, undervoltage issues, and instability risks that were challenging the existing 110kV network.

As the exclusive distributor of Protecta in Vietnam, TCA Vietnam delivered a turnkey solution for the substation’s secondary systems. This included:
- Protection and control panels for both 220kV and 110kV bays

- Ground fault and travelling-wave fault location systems
- Full SCADA and telecom integration
