In mid-2015, in the framework of its medium-term strategy, MAVIR ( Hungarian Transmission System Operator Company Ltd.) started investigating the options for the construction of a new 400/120 kV substation. Eventually a location near the town of Szigetcsép in the south of the Csepel Island was selected. The project will facilitate a significant improvement in the transmission network both by reinforcing the partially dual 400 kV Martonvásár-Albertirsa network, and by supplying 120 kV to industrial consumers and power plants in the area.
The Principal commissioned MVM OVIT Zrt. (National Power Line Company Ltd.) to organise the tender for the protection and control system of the greenfield project.
In this procedure our company was selected to supply the protection and control system of the 2-bay one-breaker-and-a-half scheme 400 kV and the 5-bay double-busbar 120 kV substation segments.
